HORSEMANSHIP CLINIC

WITH AMY HARRIS ZUMMACK

The Prairie and Forest Equestrian Club in Meadow Lake is hosting multi discipline horsemanship clinic with Amy Harris Zummack. Amy offers instruction on everything from basic horsemanship, dressage (both western and English) to reining.

The clinic will be held at the Meadow Lake stampede grounds at the legacy arena on June 17th, 18th and 19th , 2016. Riders will be separated into two groups. The schedule is tentatively booked for: Friday night will start at 6 pm and end at 9 pm. Saturday will run from 8-12 and then 1-5. There will be an hour break for lunch. On Sunday we have the option of running classes the same as on Saturday or completing tests with Amy giving feedback and then personalized exercises to follow. The cost for the clinic will be $250 for the weekend. On site camping is available there will be water for horses but no power. We will require a deposit of $150 by June 1, 2016 to secure your spot.

A little bit about the clinician. Amy became a certified instructor in 2009 after completing an 8 month course. She has worked with Shawn Seabrook (AB), Taylor Douglas, Clint Christianson & Al Dunning. She has been competing since she was 15 in everything from Western Pleasure, gymkhana, SBRA, reining, hunters, jumpers and dressage as well as trained her own young mare for cutting. Amy has multiple provincial championship’s in Dressage and western dressage. She competed and medaled in 2000 and 1996 in the SK summer games. Most recently Amy competed in the Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships last year in dressage and was in the top 6 seniors everyday.
